Astigmatism is very common. Many people with contacts that can be used, but many can not. The only way to know is to talk to your doctor's exact astigmatism. Basically, your eye is supposed to form a ball, and is shaped like a soccer ball more. There is nothing wrong with that and is quite common but it affects how you look. You may or may not be a candidate for laser eye surgery, but you must be much higher. My doctor will not do it in a patient under 25.
