How long after laser eye surgery can I resume wearing eye makeup?

I am in thlaser eye surgeryexaminations/preparation for laser eye surgery. Does anyone know how long you typically have to wait before wearing eye makeup again?

At our office we tell people 1 week as a general rule of thumb.
