laser eye surgery night vision

laser eye surgery night visionlaser eye surgerying night contacts inhibit your ability to undergo Laser eye surgery?

I’ve been thinking of getting night contacts ever since my eyes started going blurry (i’ve gone from 20/20 vision to -1.5 diopters in as little as 6 months). I know that night contacts only provide temporary vision return, so i may wear them for the time being until I decide for laser Eye surger. But I’ve heard from my friend that wearing night contacts changes the cornea, which prevents your ability to later get laser eye surgery for a permanent fix. Can someone verify this or give an example of someone who actually received laser eye surgery after using night contacts?
The night contacts I am referring to are the ones you wear only in the night time. An example is Paragon CRT contacts. During the day you take them off and your vision returns because it reshapes your cornea

The “night contacts” that you are referring to are lenses that are fitted under the ortho keratology method which basically uses specially fitting lenses to adapt the cornea to a shape that results in an improved vision. This process needs to be continued for a certain specified schedule as determined by a specialized fitter. If you cease wearing these special lenses your vision correction will eventually return to its original correction requirement. The time line for this eventual return to the original vision varies with time. This would certainly occur within 3-6 months depending on how long “ortho k” had been used. So clearly you cannot consider going to a specialist for a laser consultation prior to that period. An eye doctor looking to perform laser surgery will be looking for a stable cornea, one that will allow him/her to determine the calculations required for the laser correction.
