MEPS disqualification because of LASIK?

I think I just got disqualified from MEPS because I revealed that I had lasik laser surgery on my eyes to correct my near-sightedness. It was done 10 years ago and during an oversea trip.
The MEPS doctor disqualified me because I don’t have pre and post documents of the LASIK.
My recruiter told me he could not give me a waiver without the documents from the original surgeon’s pre and post LASIK documents.
My eyes are 20-20. I just had a thorough eye exam from an optometrist, with good results.
If I am disqualified from MEPS, will I be able to serve the military during my life time? If I have the chance to do it over gain, I will not reveal my LASIK history, as there is no way it can effect anything. But now it is in my MEPS, is it all over?
Even if I go to a different recruiter, they will see my MEPS record in the database. I feel I should not have revealed about my LASIK, but it is too late.

It’s good you didn’t lie. When they do your eye exam at basic they’ll see the cuts, it’s not anything you can really hide.

Doing it overseas may have been the biggest issue.

Sorry. Good luck in what you decide to do.
