Seeing Eye to Eye With Eye Technologies
As we grow, eyes become a matter of imminent care. While we are still young, eyes can guard themselves well against the free radicals but as time catches on us, the amount of oxidative stress starts taking its toll. Oxygen and sunlight are prime sources which oxidize the cell environment through chemical mix-ups. Retina is being protected by the lens from the excess amount of light, thus the lens takes the highest amount of beating. The free radicals kill or mitigate the function of enzymes which maintain cellular metabolism. Further with the deteriorating blood flow with age, the eye can no more muster the needed nutrients. Thus with passing time, they become vulnerable to many disorders of the eyes including cataracts.
Cataract clouds the lens of the eye. The lens is largely responsible for structuring clear and concise images. The lens is made up of water and protein; with time, protein accumulation increases in the eye and results in hazy vision. Cataract is thus a straightaway impact of ageing. Sometimes the disorder develops in both the eyes simultaneously. The symptoms are diverse and depend largely on an individual but the common ones include vision blurs, double vision, and vague halos around lights. Sometimes the cataracts completely cloud the iris, this leads to a full loss of vision.
Cataract can be treated rather simply. More than a million people have benefited all over the world through simple yet high-on-performance treatments. Cataracts can be treated through simple surgery. The surgery removes the natural eye lens which has got clouded by protein action and replacing it with an artificial lens. Using local anesthesia, the cataract surgery is done in less than an hour. Patients can also go for various bifocal and other recommended eye glasses. Many eye-drops have also benefited people suffering from such syndromes. It is essential to get hold of the right ones.
Animals have been known to suffer from cataract as well. For the pets it becomes more difficult as they can’t voice out their concerns all too well. They thus suffer the partial or the total blindness silently.
A product that has been doing well in this field is the Bright eye drops for cataracts. It is a hypoallergenic drop and is free of animal ingredients. Its usage is certified for pets and other animals. Its eye formula protects against the oxidizing agents with its combination of lubricant, anti-glycating agents, and antioxidants. Glycation binds sugar to protein thus damaging the tissues. The anti-glycating agent helps in protecting the tissue. The anti-oxidant that it contains is 1% N-Acetyl-L-Carnosine. It shelters the fat and lipid tissues of the eye against impending damage.
It is recommended at a drop or two in each eye daily. If there is a more severe symptom, it can be applied several times in a single day.

Pink eye in only half my eye? HELP!?
i wear disposable contacts and sometimes get into the habit where i wear them when i sleep and sometimes i wear them for three months or more at a time (even though they should be worn for only a month) anyways the problem is that i recently took my contacts out and right after my eye started to go red and i expected this to happen so i just put in some eye drops. Then the next day and so far the whole week every morning i wake up and my eye is glued shut with this crusty stuff. i thought i had pink eye and i feel itchy on the outer corner of my eye. but i looked closer and only half of my eye is bright red.
i just want to know if you guys think i have pinkeye or is it just a bacteria in my eye and possibly how to cure it. let me know asap thanks!!! ?
You probably have bacterial conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye. Go to your doctor as soon as you can to have a culture taken, and begin antibiotics. You need to attack this infection with medication because an infection in the eye can spread to the brain and meningial coverings (causing meningitis). Meningitis is VERY serious. Avoid progressing to that point in the infection by seeing your doctor!!!
