Whats happining to my husbands vision?

About a month ago, my husband went for an eye exam for new glasses. During the appointment the doctor told him he has a very severe case of Glaucoma. Within a week, he has laser surgery in both eyes. Almost immediately he started to complain that it looked like white lines were crossing in his eyes. The doctor passed them off as floaters. These white lines got wider and started to affect his vision. His sight has gotten much worse since the laser surgery. He can only see if he looks through the bottom of his glasses where the bifocals are and he cant see anything but shapes and colors without his glasses. His doctor finally made an appointment for him with a retina specialist but wont give us any idea what may be happening. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

dont have a great explanation of the white lines. this is unique for sure.

the “only seeing thru the bifocals” just indicaes a refractive change…not too alarming.

really just have to wait & see what the retina specialist says. there are not too many conditions that cause vision loss in both eyes simultaneously
