laser eye surgery information

Is laser surgery safe for eyes?
Is laser surgery for eyes to remove spectacles parmanently, proven to be safe? & does it has any side effects later.
I need much information as possible folks, thanks.
I had lasik 2 years ago and honestly it was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My vision is wonderful now, I don’t have to worry about glasses or cleaning contacts. I’m satisfied with the results. But like alasikrgery, you need to do your homework http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/LASIK/expect.htm

The risks for laser eye surgery http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/LASIK/risks.htm are very minimal but there are risks involved in any surgical procedure. Some of the negative risks for eye surgery are:
-Monovision
-Some patients may develop severe dry eye syndrome.
-You may be under treated or over treated.
-Some patients develop debilitating visual symptoms.
-Some patients lose vision.
In the end it all comes down to making sure you’ve done your homework on the procedure and that you pick the best possible doctor you feel comfortable with, and trusting him or her. I included some links that should help you to prepare for the surgery and which will be able to answer any more questions you should have. Good luck.
