laser eye surgery retinal tear

Is it normal to not be able to focus my eye to read or see close up 2wks after laser surgery for retinal tears?

I have retinal tears in both of my eyes. I had my right eye done two and a half weeks ago and I still can’t focus my eye to read or see anything up close. The doctor said I’d be blurry for a few days. When I think a few days I think 3 or 4…not 2 and half weeks. I’m scheduled to have my left eye done on next Wednesday, but if I’m not going to be able to read at all I don’t know if I can go through with it. Anyone have similar problems?
Also, my pupil is still dilated and won’t constrict all the way like it used to.

it sounds like you need to get checked out again by a pro?
Are you sure about the pupil thing? How bad is it? Maybe that’s why you can’t see things properly up close?

There are a few professionals out here on Answers and I hope they help.
Like Ophthalmic techs and retinal surgeons, etc.
