Why can laser eye surgery lead to (cause) dry eyes?

does it decrease tear production? effect the drailaser eye surgery link between dry eyes and laser eye surgery? and why?

Laser eye surgery disturbs or burns corneal nerves which are sensory,so the sensory message to the brain is less,therefore ,the lacrimal glands response is less, thence tearing is less and you get dry eye.
