future of laser eye surgery

future of laser e<a href=laser eye surgeryr=”0″ align=”left” />
has ne1 here done laser eye surgery yet?

im thinking of maybe doin that in the later future (cause my eyes r soooo bad…??), but i wanna no some info first from ppl who actually have done it: does it hurt? can u really see well after the surgury? Are there N-E side affects? how much did it cost? etc…

Yes! It is the best thing I have ever done. I love being able to see when I wake up in the morning. Get a reputable doctor though and DON’T get the “newer” process where they use a new laser to release the seal form the cornea. Get the one that has been out for a while – as it turns out the “older” technology is better and it is also cheaper. If you are severly near sighted as I was there really is not much to lose – you are already “blind”. You will be able to see the next day but may have to wear goggles when you go to sleep for a few days (to keep from rubbing or damaging the healing process) – the cost ranges from about 600 – 1300 per eye.

PS: sometimes you hear that your eyes “go back” to where they were which is complete BS unless you are on a natural downhill spiral anyway. My eyes are perfect 20/20 and have been for 6 years now. I had a negative 9.5 + an astigatism – I really couldn’t see at all. It was like a miracle for me.

ALSO, if you have flex benefits at work you can usually apply the cost of laser to this. I did so I paid for it with tax free dollars which is like getting a 30% discount.
