laser eye surgery long sighted

Have you had Laser Surgery? If so, do you think it works long term?

I have been wearing glasses since the 5th grade and I am 28 y/o now. For the past couple of years, I have been wearing contacts instead, b/c I dont like wearing the glasses. I am near-sighted meaning can not see far away at all unless the words/picture is really big. I have been very skeptical about laser eye surgery b/c of all the side effects. But, it would be nice to wake up and not worry about getting my glasses/ or contacts on. Tell me what you think.

It fixes your immediate problem in your vision pretty much almost 100% of the time now. However, our eyes change from year to year, some more than others. Surgery does not keep your eyes from their normal changes. So, long termly you might have to have an enhancement surgery or two done later down the road. Long term side effects vary from person to person depending on your visual issues, your corneal thickness, your tears, and what proceedure you actually have done! Go to maloneyvision.com and check out his web site. He is one of the top 10 surgeons for visual correction in the US and has written a best selling book that is avaiable to read online about the surgery and how to find a reputable doctor in your area.
