maxitrol eye ointment

maxitrol eye ointment

Should I be taking antibiotics?

My eye doctor perscribed me with 28 Cephalexin (250mg) to be taken four times a day for seven days, and Maxitrol to be applied to my right upper eyelid twice each day. I have a stye in my eye. Have had it for only 2 days, but noticed it was a little bigger than normal for about a week. I’ve had a cold for about that time too, which I still have now blowing out green mucus. I hadn’t had the chance to try the warm-compress method on the eye since I’ve had the stye. is it really necessary to be taking these antibiotics and ointment? I feel like I haven’t given it even enough time for it to go away.

I’ve been threatened too with the risk of going blind, so…
Thanks

antibiotics do work so it is a good idea to take them when your doctor says to
