laser eye surgery techniques

Feedback from people who have had their eyes lasered in the past?

I’ve had a quick look on Answers and found similar questions asked about 3 years ago. I’m thinking of getting my eyes lasered (short-sighted) and now that it’s been available for years, would like to hear some feedback from people who have had it done, especially by the more up to date techniques.

Mostly people seem to have had good results, but my sight is probably the most important physical thing to me and I don’t want to screw it up! Has anyone actually experienced any of the problems you can get from the modern eye laser surgery?

I’ve been wanting this for a while. I have asked around and there have been people who have said its the best thing that has happened. Others have said they should never have had it done. My girlfriends mum’s friend had it done and it has made her eyes worse than they were while wearing glasses. So i’m borderlined at the moment. After what i have been hearing that its not permanent. You have to keep having it done every few years which to me is a lot of money to keep wasting. So i’m going to be going with contact lenses. Much easier. To me, thats easier than wearing glasses.
