Im joining no matter what but if they dont then am I allowed to wear my own glasses (after boot)? I know at boot camp they make you wear those big black ones.

yes they do, theres a waiting list. my husband got it done, he got on the list in march 08 and got it done dec 08 because nobody wanted to get it done around the time for xmas, there were so many openings. get it done xmas time if u need it immediately but u need ur eye doctor to write u a referral to get it which is easy, just tell them u constantly lose ur glasses and that worked for hubby good luck
