Should i get laser eye surgery? I am 18?

I’m 18 and i have very bad eye sight in my right eye. My left eye is very clear but the right isnt, it’s very blurred and i wear reading glasses because i can’t read without it, and also, sometimes i can’t focus on things when i look at them. I had contacts for a while but i was worried about getting an infection so i stopped having them, also i couldn’t get the hang of it. My optician told me i had very blaser eye surgeryy right eye for my age.

I was thinking about laser eye surgery but then i read all these things about cutting my eye and it really put me off, but for my job in the future and for my studying i think it would benefit me. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or if anyone has had this done and it was painful?

That is difficult to answelasikause ” very bad eyesight” can mean many different things.

Lasik is actually quite limited in what it can do.

The fact you are 18 also means you are maybe not finished your growth yet, and your vision could still be unstable. Your vision has to be stable with no change ( or very little) over an 18 month period, which usually isn’t until the mid 20′s

The only way you will know if you are even a candidate is to discuss it with your optometrist or schedule a free consultation with a laser clinic.
