Cost of Lasik Eye Surgery – A Price Breakdown

Lasik Price is often a big consideration when you are considering Lasik Eye Surgery. Visit Here Now http://lasiksurgery-services.blogspot.com

There can be many factors to consider when you are looking at Lasik Price, because some facility fees and eylasikgeon fees may be separate, as are pre-Lasik and post-Lasik follow-ups and office appointments. Be sure to read all of the small print to see what is included. If a deal sounds too cheap, it may not include all of the extras.

While Lasik price is a consideration in whether to have your vision corrected, there are different levels of surgery and it can be affordable for everyone. The Lasik price is affordable over a period of years, as opposed to the money spent on contacts and prescription eyeglasses, and the price of the self-confidence of improved vision without physical appearance differences is worth it to many people, who think of eyeglasses as a sign of getting old.

With IntraLase, or iLasik as it is often referred to, (a laser is used instead of a blade to create the flap over the cornea), prices in 2007-2008 were roughly around $2100, per eye and as much as $3,000 per eye. This is a more precision, faster healing time surgery Lasik.

A Lasik price of $400 or $500 per eye, probably does not include some of the add-on fees such as doctor’s fees or facility fees and is the traditional, not as precise, blade surgery. Since most people are planning to have both eyes done, maybe not at the same time, there is no discount. While it is sometimes advisable to have them done separately for margin of safety and healing, the only cost difference is that you may experience more office follow-up visits and these are not normally included in the advertised price.

Be sure to ask questions, and use a reputable surgeon, if you are thinking about Lasik, and know what is included in the Lasik price. Does it include the Pre-Lasik evaluation or the office follow-ups and facility fees or the surgeon’s fees? You need to be aware of what is included in the Lasik price. You can occasionally find some all-inclusive Lasik procedures done for around $1,000 per eye.

While Lasik price is a consideration, it is a small price to pay to correct your vision and not be forced to wear eyeglasses or contacts to see for the rest of your life. Visit Here Now http://lasiksurgery-services.blogspot.com

what is the average cost for lasik eye surgery? Does medical insurance cover any of it?

i have blue cross blue shield health care through my union if that matters.

Medical insurance covers medical problems (in most cases). Myopia / hyperopia/ astigmatism / presbyopia that requires spectacle correction is not a medical problem and hence neye treatmentompany that I know of has ever covered laser eye treatment in this case. Laser eye treatment is considered an elective cosmetic surgery – hence the problems people have trying to claim damages when things go wrong. (unless you can prove negligence, you don’t stand a chance – exhaustive consent forms, voluntarily having a surgical procedure on healthy tissue etc)

Prices seem to average around $2100 per eye.
