laser eye surgery gone wrong

laser eye surgery?

Has anyone had laser eye surgery? Im considering it but don’t know if the con’s way out the pro’s! I’m scared that in case it goes wrong and im left worse off.

Any advice most appreciated!

I haven’t had laser surgery (mainly coz i’m only 15 and my eyes could still get worse), but i know someone whose retina became detached and loads of horrible things led him to have a large gas bubble in his eye which he can’t see through.

If you are wearing glasses and want a better option, contact lenses are amazing. You can get 30 day ones which you put in and take out a month later. They don’t carry the risks of laser surgery, but depending on the type you get and the period you wear them for, they can cost more in the long run.

However, if you are already wearing lenses and want the surgery to remove the need for lenses, then maybe change your lens type.

I’m not making the decision, but i would choose lenses over laser surgery at the moment and see if laser technology becomes safer in the future (in fact, that’s what i am doing!). Hope this helps you a bit!
