Air Force Academy/Pilots?

I am wondering: If a guy at the laser eye surgery asked the commander for permission to get laser eye surgery and told him that he wanted to be a fighter pilot, and got approved by the Air Force, would he be able to get the surgery done on his own (in town) while attending the AFA, or during the summer?

Yes, you can get permission to get PRK or Lasik surgery on your own.

It would definately have to be in the summer, lasikve your eyes time to heal.

As of May ,2007, PRK and Lasik eye surgery is no longer a disqualification for flight school candiates in the USAF.
