Post eye surgery – whats going on with my eye?
A month ago I had a brown freckle removed from the white of my eye. After the surgery my entire eye was red, but now a month later the redness is gone. There’s only one little red spot left, that my Opthalmologist told me would fade with time. I stopped using the antibiotics she prescribed (which was a gel ointment) and started using systane eye drops she suggested instead. I was thinking of maybe trying visine as well, would that be a good or bad idea? Also, when I first wake up in the morning, my eye is white with only a very faded trace of the red spot. However as the day goes on, it gets more red, or rather pink-ish. Why is this?
Thanks in advance for any replies! It would mean alot
I’m glad to see you’re not crying about it anymore. You are doing better. Good for you!
The reason the eye gets more red as the day goes on is probably because it is just getting a little more dry. I think you are doing exactly what you should be doing. Continue to lubricate the eye well and with time you should be just fine.
