Can toddlers develop eye allergies?

I have eye allergies and hayfever, and my daughter seems to have inherited the hayfever part–and lately she seems to have eye mucous (not pink eye) like I do for which I take eye drops regularly. Should I have her evaulated at my opthamologist’s office? Is she too young for eye drops?

Allergies can come and go at any age. Your pediatrician can probably deal with it and will likely be more familiar with treatments for young children. If a specialist is needed the pediatrician will tell you.
