Dry Sore eye after flight?

I had a mild eye infection last week and now after a long haul flight my eye has gone really dry and is cut from rubbing at it.Ive been using brolene drops but they dont seem to help with the dryness.Should salt and water help?

Do not put salt in your eye. This will shrink the cornea and cause complications.
Have you seen an eye doctor for your eye infection? It would be a good idea to avoid further complications. He/she could provide medication or lubricating drops to help. It is a good idea, especially since you say your eye is “cut.”
