How does Kevin Niksarli M.D trlasik Diopter of Astigmatism at Manhattan Lasik Center?

Kevin Niksarli M.D. at Manhattan Lasik Center states that it really depends on the clinical picture. Some individuals with 6 Diopter of Astigmatism have normal topography, normal thickness cornea and good correctable visual acuity with glasses, and those patients do great with laser vision correction. Others with such high amount of astigmatism have abnormal topography or thinner corneas than average and in those cases laser vision correction may not be indicated.
Toric soft contacts are also relatively challenging with high astigmatism, and so are eyeglasses because they cause a lot of optical distortion.
