Red veins in eye, what is the best eye drop?

I had some red veins in my right eye for days and it just doesn’t seem to go away no matter how much I sleep or stop using computer/television. Anyone know why? I was wondering will a good eye drop do the trick.

I would recommend using artificial tears. They help give the eye a little extra lubrication. Good ones are Thera Tears, Refresh, and Soothe. Visine and ClearEyes advertise as “get the red out” drops. I recommend avoiding these drops, as they contain a vasoconstrictor. The vasoconstrictor initially will decrease redness; however, the eyes can respond with a rebound hyperemic response (extreme redness) if over-used.
