How can I ask my eye doctor a weird question?

I have an upcoming eye appointment and I really want to ask my doctor why my eyes are always bloodshot in the inner corners and why I constantly get eye boogers. They’re really annoying and embarrassing but I don’t know how to ask him?
I’d feel like an idiot saying ‘eye boogers’
what am I supposed to say?
