vigamox eye drops

My cat has an eye infection. Can I use Vigamox(human anti-bacterial eye drop) on a cat?

Just wondering if there’s anything harmful in it for a cat

You need to find out what is causing the eye infection first. It could be viral, bacterial, fungal, it could be also an ulcer or many other things. Treating the cat’s eye without seeing vet first could cause further problems leading to larger vet bills in the future. So I would not recommend it. Plus an eye infection could be a manifestion of a larger problem such as a upper respiratory infections that would need more treatments then antibiotics in the eye.
