What age do you have to be to have laser eye surgery?

hi, i want to be a firefighter or a police constable when i am older but i have bad sight . how old do you have to be in the UK to have laser eye sugery and can you become a police officer or a fire fighter if you wear contact lenses??? Thanks

Footprintz is correct about the age thing, but regarding the services jobs I don’t think they’re too keen on recruiting those who have poor vision.
I applyed for the Police Specials earlier in the year but was rejected because I wear contacts (I think it’s something to do with if your contacts come out during some action, then you’ll be pretty much useless). Wait until your optician says you’re ready for surgery then go for it.
