How do I use eye drops with contact lenses?
I recently began wearing contacts. Sometimes my eyes feel a bit dry and tired during the day, so I use Refresh eye drops. When I use the drops, is it necessary to take the contacts out, or can I put them in my eye while the contacts are in as well? Thank you for any help and suggestions.
I’m wearing the daily disposable contacts if that makes any difference.
Some drops are FDA-approved for use with contact lenses, and some are not (such as Refresh).
Some drops that are not specifically approved for use with contacts might still be safe for use with them. Sometimes, a company does not seek FDA approval for a certain drop because they have other products in their line that are positioned for contact lenses.
You should ask your eye doctor about Refresh.
Or, you could just buy a drop that’s approved for contacts.
